Major Changes Afoot for both The Russley & Holly Lea Villages11 October 2017
The Russley Village
Russley Village is entering its last phase of development with construction recently commencing on the Ashley Suites, its boutique care facility and serviced apartment complex. The Ashley Suites will provide a range of residential care services up to hospital level. “We see it as critical that care is provided onsite as part of the promise we make to residents” says Graham Wilkinson, Director of Generus Living Group. The Ashley Suites will include 36 care suites and eight serviced apartments. The Sefton Apartments are completing in December with most of the apartments already sold, however there is still a small selection of one bedroom apartments to choose from. The Sefton Apartment building will also house the final piece of resident leisure facilities – the indoor heated pool and spa complex. The Russley Homestead is thriving with a visiting beautician and hairdresser making good use of the hair salon and beauty room. “The Abode Cafe & Brasserie is busy with a number of themed dining events and there are regular movie nights and a varied range of activities from Mahjong to Line Dancing”, says Wayne Thompson, Village Manager. The Pavilion which was the original communal building is undergoing refurbishment with the downstairs area converted to the cardio studio with cardio equipment and an area available for various group exercise classes.
Holly Lea Village
Major changes are afoot for Holly Lea Village. The beginning of the community facility renovation is well underway with the opening of the fully refurbished dining room celebrated in July. Soon to follow will be the café, activities room and reception area. Holly Lea has also just recently received resource consent approval for the future development of a boutique care facility and independent apartments with construction expected to commence in early 2018. The care facility will provide tasteful, comfortable surroundings while offering quality care up to hospital level. Architecturally designed, the contemporary apartments will be one, two and three bedrooms and designed with comfort and safety in mind.
