High Interest in Pacific Lakes

Bay of Plenty residents are clamouring to get into Pacific Lakes Village. Almost all of the first stage of 55 homes are under construction and already sold and our first couple have taken up residence. With its range of housing options, Pacific Lakes Village has the ambience of a luxurious lakeside resort. Some of the villas are standalone and some duplex, and come with either a single or double garage. Each villa features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and some have a study.

Village Manager Mark Vincent says there has been a high level of interest in the village, particularly from local residents. “They have seen the high standard of housing and facilities at our sister village, Pacific Coast, and know that we are an organisation that can deliver quality.” The village’s proximity to beaches and shopping centres has also been a drawcard, as well as the thoughtful layout and design.

Pacific Lakes Village will have its own ecosystem, via a series of waterways, fed from rainwater and natural aquifers that will support the regeneration of plant and birdlife. The community lakeside pavilion will be designed to operate off the grid with its own solar power and rainwater recycling systems.  In addition, there will be a market garden, commercial glasshouse, climate controlled growing house, and a variety of fruit trees scattered throughout, enabling residents to grow their own produce and connect with nature.  “As well as those looking to make a positive lifestyle change, the eco-friendly features of the village have attracted people with a desire to look after the environment,” says Mark.

Construction of the architecturally designed community facility, The Lake House, is due to begin in early 2020 and will feature an indoor activity area, sweeping deck and covered entertaining area. Adjacent to The Lake House will be the multi-purpose Village Green, where residents can play bowls or croquet, or practice their putting. Other facilities will include The Pavilion, the village’s main community hub featuring a café, bar and lounge. There will also be a library, arts and crafts studio and an expansive entertainment area for resident functions, events and fitness classes.

Future plans for Pacific Lakes Village include a state-of-the-art dementia care facility.
